Director of Education and Childrens Services

Anna Wright took up post as Director of Education and Children's Service for Reading Borough Council in June 2006. Prior to that she was Director for Schools for Surrey County Council and prior to that Assistant Chief Executive for Surrey. Previous roles include Head of Strategic Planning in the Education Directorate and Head of Educational Psychology Service. Anna started her career in teaching and joined Surrey as an educational psychologist in the early 1980's. She is married with one daughter aged 18 and loves diving.
