Awards:

  • If you have a market stall you will receive an award so please make sure you register.
  • If you are attending to specifically pick up your recent award then make sure at the registration desk that we are aware you are here for this, otherwise you may not be called.
  • If you are putting on a workshop or performing in a showcase.
  • You will not be called unless you fall into these categories.

I am a leading aspect award holder and I have agreed to have a market stall.  What do I need to do?

  • You are provided with a clothed trestle table (5ft x 2ft ) plus a sign denoting who you are and the title of your aspect
  • If you need to have an electrical powerpoint please let us know so we can adjust your position in the hall. If you are able to bring an extension lead with you that would be very helpful.
  • Many people seem to bring the fold-up noticeboards that already have most of their work pinned on.
  • All stalls should be set-up by 9.30 as the day starts promptly at 10.00.
  • Ideally it is preferable to have at least 2 people attending per stall, as it means one of you can take it in turns to visit other stalls and workshops.  You are welcome to bring more but you must let us know.
  • Pupils are also welcome to come with you if you wish but they are your responsibility.

Will there be photographs on the day?

  • Yes. - A photographer will be taking photographs of each of the stalls throughout the day
  • A photograph is taken of each of the presentations as well therefore if you are bringing pupils then see special instructions below

Are you bringing pupils/young people?

  • If you are an accompanying teacher you must ensure that parents / carers have consented to them being included in photographs / videos.
  • These photographs are used on our website, in the press and are sent to each of the attending schools and other providers
  • If you require a form that consents to them appearing in photographs/video please email us.
  •  It is really important that you ensure that this has been completed. This is your responsibility

Do you require special access with which we can assist you?

  • If yes, please let us know beforehand so that we may be of help.
  • The main hall has access from the car park.
  • The dining area and main hall are all on the same level but the workshops are held on the either the floor below and above. (a lift is available)

What is the programme for the day like?

  • The full programme is in the news article below plus there areddetails of the workshops / seminars and showcases
  • 19 different Workshops run throughout the day and we ask delegates (as much as is possible) to book a place at the beginning of the day at initial Registration
  • We suggest you only attend 3 workshops
  • The event opens at 10.00
  • The Leading Aspect Award Conference and Celebration is like a market with many different events taking place at the same time.
  • Some of you may wish to sit and listen to the keynote speech and / or go to the workshops whilst others continue to look at the stalls - it is up to you to decide.
  • Our keynote speaker is Jamie Andrew and his speech lasts for approximately 30 minutes

  • The stage is used for extra events from schools and other educational providers
